Hey there, thanks for inquiring about submitting your music to The Record Stack. There’s nothing I love more than hearing from great new artists and PR groups, but please realize that I get a fair amount of emails, messages, tweets, etc. Staying short and to the point is key.

If you are a publicist or a band/artist rep-ing it on their own, feel free to add therecordstack@gmail.com to your PR mailing list.

Tips on getting your music posted:

- An offer to PREMIERE new (unreleased) songs or videos will always have priority over other tracks and will definitely get you stronger consideration for posting.

- Great imagery that’s 500px wide or larger (but not too large or else it takes forever to load!). A link to where it’s hosted on your server space, so I don’t need to re-host myself, is always nice.

- Great (new and creative) videos. Official or not.

- Streamable music on Soundcloud, Bandcamp or MySpace.

- Downloadable music from Bandcamp/Soundcloud, though direct MP3 links hosted by you makes blogging a song a whole lot easier!

- Notable news, relevant information, release date, label…

- Tour dates, and a tip of the hat for having a rad show poster.

* If you send me full albums for preview, please include specific instructions on which tracks I’m able to share. Otherwise I will consider any and all tracks post-able.

Please avoid: sending me long, impersonal “copy and pasted” reviews and such, without at least asking me how my day’s going!

Always feel free to send any goodies (vinyl, cassette tapes, artwork!) my way, Email me for my info. Or just stop by for a friendly “hello!”

What are Featured posts?

When I come across a track, artist, and/or band that really catches my attention, I’ll tag their post with a “feature.” They are then featured at the top of my sidebar for a little extra recognition! It’s just kind of like my way of saying that they’ve got something really special.
